Many Meals of India

India is widely renowned for its tremendous range of food, variety of its cooking methods and flavours as well as its attention to texture and colour. This cooking session will provide participants with an overview of some Indian social customs. Participants will have the opportunity to cook Indian recipes and share information.

Topics to be Covered

  • Understanding the importance of food as a social ritual in cultures
  • Sourcing culturally diverse recipes and creating some tasty nutritious 
    Indian meals

 

Learning Outcomes

For participants to:

  • Explore the diverse cultural needs and expectations of families regarding meals for children
  • Prepare and cook a diverse range of Indian meals
  • Network and share ideas with other professionals
