‘Intentional teaching is deliberate, purposeful and thoughtful’ (EYLF, p.15).
Educators who engage in intentional teaching recognise that learning occurs in social contexts where interactions and conversations are vitally important for learning.
This practical session will provide participants with opportunities to develop and extend their knowledge of intentional teaching through interactive case studies focusing on sustained shared thinking, program planning and critical reflection. There is a specific focus on communication and interaction across cultures. Educators who work with children and families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
