Working with Children with a Disability

Casual Bilingual Workers play an important role in supporting staff to understand the cultural needs of children with a disability. This session will support Casual Bilingual Workers to work confidently with children who have a disability.

Topics to be Covered

• Understanding disability, ability and limitations
• Working confidently alongside integration aides/teachers
• The role of the Casual Bilingual Workers

Session Outcomes

• Develop confidence in supporting staff, children and families
• Develop strategies to support children with a disability
• Share and explore personal experiences
