The Art of Story Telling

Throughout time many cultures have shared past accounts and traditions through story telling. Casual Bilingual Workers will be given the opportunity to explore different styles of story telling they may use when supporting children.

Topics to be covered

• The benefits of story telling
• Creating stories from our daily experiences and lives
• Creating and maintaining language rich environments

Learning Outcomes

• Explore practical ways of promoting language and literature
• Develop confidence in story telling abilities
• Gain an increased awareness of the types of resources that can be used to support children’s language development

Please come and join us in the celebration of a great year’s work. Meet the staff and other Casual Bilingual Workers and have fun! Certificates will be presented to those who have been with the Casual Bilingual Worker’s Program for 5 years and over. Please Bring a dish from your culture to share.
