About Us

FKA Children’s Services a state-wide service that provides advice, consultancy, training and resources to:

  • Community based and private child care services
  • Home-based Care and Family Day Care
  • Out of School Hours Care
  • Inclusion Support Facilitators
  • Kindergartens
  • AMEP Child Care
  • Early Childhood Students

Funding is received from Community Child Care, the Professional Support coordinator, an initiative funded by the Australian Government under the Inclusion and Professional Support Program, the Victorian Government through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the Adult Multicultural Education Service. In addition fundraising via membership and donations from the Friends of FKA is undertaken. Philanthropic Trusts are also a source of funding for specific projects.

FKA Children’s Services is governed by a Board of Management and has a Finance Committee to oversee the financial and operational performance of the organisation. Authority is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer is accountable to the Board of Management for the overall management and operation of the organisation.
